Heineken: The product

Heineken produces a lof of different products, but the main product is of course the Heineken beer. Heineken has cans, bottles and tap beer. They have 3 different cans. The cans are introduced in 1950. The regular can (33cl), this is also the most sold can. They have an big can (50cl). And they have an new kind of can that is the new ''coolcan'' (33cl). This is the new can to cool easily and that will only sold cooled.

Heineken also sales the very popular beer bottles. Like als the cans, they also have 3 different kind of bottles. They have the new twist bottles (25cl). These bottles are easily to open with your hands. That concludes the twist off name. These bottles are mean for the hot summer days, when you like a beer. Then the most sold bottle. The popular (33cl) bottle. You can buy this bottle in a crate of 24 pieces. And last but not least is the big bottle (50cl), this big bottle can you buy in a crate of 18 pieces. These bottles are also sold well.

In this blog i will write about Dutch beer producer Heineken. Heineken is the biggest Dutch beer brand. The company was founded by Gerard Adriaan Heineken in 1864 in Amsterdam. Heineken has about 170 factory's worldwide in 70 different countries. Heineken has about 54.000 employees. Heineken produces a lot of different beer types for different target groups.

Heineken has a lot of commercials at television. These commercials are very important for the known of Heineken at the people. Also Heineken sponsors big sports events. Including the biggest European soccer cup: The UEFA Champions League, The Heineken cup: a rugby competititon and The Heineken Open: a tennis tournament.

Heineken is a worldwide very popular beer brand and a lot of people like the taste of the beer. It has something special.

Heineken also sponsors big musical events like the Oxygen music festival in Ireland and The Heineken Open'er Festival.

Also in the most discotheques in Holland sell only Heineken. The most visitors (youth) prefers the Heineken beer and for example not the Amstel or Grolsch beer.

Heineken has a lot of competitors. So Heineken has to be special in comparison with the other beer brands. The biggest national competitor is the brand Grolsch. Other competitors are the brands: Alfa, Hertog Jan, Brand, Bavaria, Schutters, Palm and Dommelsch.
